January: Three Kings Day
We celebrate Las Posadas near the Christmas holiday, a custom that blends faith, family, community and hope. A simple procession with carols and candlelight, a shared meal and fellowship are hallmarks of this event.

April: Kids Day
A grand celebration of our children in collaboration with several organizations, such as CHISPA, Friends of Patterson Park, and more. The core message of this event is the value of children, not just as the future, but individuals deserving care and dignity today. Piñatas made by us, fun activities, community partners and resources, dance and creativity shine on this day for those we love the most.

May: Mothers Day
A time to celebrate the leadership, sacrifice, and honor of being a mother and to show gratitude and recognition for the caregivers among us. This a beautiful time of fellowship and a shared meal.

June: Celebration of Mis Raíces and Volunteers
Mis Raíces closes the school year in recognition of the dedication and determination of our group, our leaders, and our year together. Volunteers are recognized at the Patterson Park Public Charter School (PPPCS) Volunteer Appreciation Event and reflect on their contributions to the school and community.

September: Hispanic Heritage and Liberty Celebration
During this event, we celebrate the customary Independence Day of several Spanish-speaking countries, and honor the traditions and legacies of Hispanic culture. Folkloric dance, delicious food, and authentic community for all.

November: Day of the Dead
Mis Raíces sets up a typical ofrenda (offering) to honor our loved ones who have passed, and to educate the community about this beautiful and colorful custom.

December: Posada
We celebrate Las Posadas during the Christmas season, a tradition that brings together faith, family, community, and hope. A simple procession with carols and candlelight, along with a shared meal and fellowship, are key parts of this celebration.
