Rooted in community, our partners help uplift and empower immigrant Latino families
Building on the connection between migratory birds and people, Audubon has been a partner of Mis Raíces since 2013, when we co-created a unique leadership program for greening projects and educational programming to improve Baltimore communities for birds and people. Together, we plant and steward flowering gardens to beautify neighborhoods and improve food and nesting opportunities for migratory birds.
CHISPA Maryland embraces diversity, equity, inclusion, and racial justice. We view these pillars as crucial to building healthy environments for everyone in Maryland. We are committed to supporting and amplifying a diverse and inclusive environment. The Creative Alliance builds communities by bringing together artists and audiences from various backgrounds to experience spectacular arts and education programs and engage in the creative process. We provide support to area artists, promote Baltimore as a center for creative production, act as a positive force in our community, and advocate for expression rooted in a sense of place. The Featherstone Foundation’s mission is to create sustainable solutions to bridge the opportunity divide among communities from economically challenged backgrounds.
The Friends of Patterson Park work in partnership with Baltimore City Recreation and Parks to maintain and promote a positive park image, provide a forum for ensuring community input into park changes, increasing fiscal and human resources for park programs and projects, and developing events and programs that bring the community into the park to learn, recreate, and make friends. Loyola University Maryland’s Communication and Media Department is a proud partner of Mis Raíces. The Communication and Media Department assisted in creating this website and creating media, such as videos and flyers, to showcase Mis Raíces’ mission and story.
The Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs (MIMA) works to promote the community well-being and inclusion of immigrant communities by identifying needs and opportunities that immigrants bring to our city. Within City government, our office assists other agencies and decisionmakers in better understanding and serving immigrant residents. Outside of City government, we collaborate with community-based organizations to ensure immigrant residents are being connected to critical resources and services.
